I saw this female Sri Lankan Leopard in the Yala National Park of Sri Lanka.
She briefly looked me in the eye then sloped back into the bush, it was one of the most magical moments of my life!
The word 'Kotiya' is taken from the latin name 'Panthera pardus kotiya', which is a subspecies of leopard native to Sri lanka, and is sadly on the endangered list, due to poaching etc.
The Sri Lankan people call her 'Kotiya'.

I am happy to announce that 'The Bare Wall' has published this image.
This print is a new state of the art technique, which allows the print to be adhered to a stiff board, with a durable PVC lamination film that protects the print from scuffing and harmful UV rays, which can then be framed without glass to look like the original oil painting.
