This painting is the first of my 'Period' pieces.
It shows a peasant girl of the Tudor period, scraping out a wooden bowl which is used for making bread.

The image that I used to paint this picture was kindly donated by a very talented photographer, John Foley, who inspired me to create a whole body of work featuring people in period costumes.
